Renewable Energy: what are the choices?

Solar Panel KitWhen it comes to renewable energy resources, just how many do we have? The answer is: plenty, but the most common and easy to harness domestically are solar, hydro and wind power.

The planet is heading for disaster at our current rate of fossil fuel consumption. Fossil fuels are non-renewable, and are rapidly depleting. Instead of waiting to see what alternatives the power companies will come up with when it’s too late, we can always look at our own renewable energy solutions.

The sun is a free source of energy and a wasted resource for many centuries. More and more families are turning to solar power to meet their energy needs. By utilizing solar energy, we are living green as well.

Other than benefiting the planet and our pockets, did you know that solar panels will also last for decades? Most domestic solar systems can last up to 30 years. The initial investment will pay for itself many times over.

Wind power is also a free source of energy and another wasted resource. Windmills are nothing new. We’ve seen them in Europe and on farms all over the world as a water pump, or a way to mill flour. Today, windmills or wind turbines are used to convert wind power into electricity as well.

Governments are starting to use “wind farms” to generate power for many homes in an area, especially where there is a lot of available wind, such as coastal areas or open areas of land and we can utilize the same technology on a smaller scale.

Hydro energy or water power, has been used for decades. Governments use them to supply electricity to whole regions and dammed rivers can usually supply enough energy to power an entire town or city.

Home Made EnergyHow would you like to unplug your house?

Imagine the feeling of knowing that you are 100% powered by nature with renewable energy?

The fact is that most people don’t know about the benefits of generating renewable energy themselves. They also don’t know how easy it is to do this.

If you want to continue paying $1,000s a year in electricity without having a clue that there is a much better way then don’t click here!
